The bestie have been around my life for the past 14 years !! That is nearly one and the half decade 🙂 and that sounds like a VERY LONG time 🙂 Well, although we are growing older , i am very glad we are growing through this journey together as she never ever had failed to be a dear friend to me.
Happy Birthday to you again! I hope you enjoyed your double celebration together. We definitely did especially with all that food on Sunday’s lunch 🙂
We went to Azure Restaurant on Saturday with a group of the bestie’s friends. This place has a great setting ,atmosphere and service. One down fall is that it took over an hour for them to serve our mains.
I had the freshly made pasta and vongole tossed in herbs and olive oil – it tasted a bit fishy but was bearable.
Hubs had this duo duck. The meat was just so tender and good! total yum-ness
Dolly’s pork belly. I asked her ” Why did she come to a western restaurant to order siu yuk (roasted chinese pork) ?”Â
This dish turned out to be quite tasty too ! Pork was cooked just right , still tender and juicy with the crackling skin
A friend of hers ordered a dessert for her and the restaurant served a glass of champagne on the house for her as well.
Then today we went over to Paul’s parents place. They were all such lovely people and we had a very good time  🙂 Paul’s  family and him cooked up a storm for us – mainly italian dishes. My favourite  🙂 Most of the vegetables were home grown from Nonna’s (paul’s grandma) garden. We went to visit her garden and it was simply amazing. Put my vege patch to such shame 😛
This one is meant to be a mixture of tomatoes, cucumbers, chillies, olive oil, onions and herbs.
This is steamed zuchinni , zuchinni flowers and egg.
This is another dish with zuchinni, tomatoes, a bit of lemon juice and ???? forgot what else but it was SPICY 🙂
Homemade lasagne by Nonna. The highlight of the day ! It was just so GOOD 🙂 Hubs had 2 large serving !
There were 3 sort of salad that went around but i forgot to take pictures of it as i was too engrossed stuffing my face with all those delicious food. When i realised it , i had it all on my plate.
L – R , from bottom – salmon zuchinni quiche with herbs , bean salad, french beans and asparagus salad, lettuce and olives salad , chicken cutlet
More chicken cutlets made by Paul’s mum
Baked Morrocan fish – cooked to perfection by Paul. The pink snapper was so fresh and the meat was so juicy and tender
The birthday babe with her home made chocolate cake
Hubs and i did not have any dinner tonight. You probably can tell why from the above 🙂
